Introduction to Email APIs for No-Code App Builders
As a no-code app builder, how much thought have you given to email APIs, particularly transactional email APIs? If you're building an app with Bubble, Bubble's got a built-in integration with SendGrid but it leaves lots to be desired including templates and just real flexibility. And that's what I want to showcase to you today.
Introducing UsePlunk: A New Open Source Email Platform
UsePlunk is a new open source email platform on the market and here are a number of reasons why I think Plunk is a great option if you're building a no-code app with Bubble.
Reason #1: Competitive Pricing
Number one is going to be the pricing. You're building an MVP, you're testing internally, you onboard your first 10 users. This free plan here should be more than sufficient to get you going.
Exploring UsePlunk's Features
Next let's dive into the features. Here is an account it took me just 30 seconds to set up. As is common with a lot of email APIs, you have a dashboard, you get some basic analytics like an activity feed, you get to manage your contacts. All of this you would do through the Bubble API connector and if you've done anything with the Bubble API connector it's dead simple to set.
Using the Bubble API Connector
Do check out our videos if you're unsure about the Bubble API connector. I'll put a link down in the description so you can go straight to the right place on our site for that because if you're building an app with Bubble there's no better place to do it than head over to PlanetNoCode.com, link down in the description to accelerate your Bubble app development process.
Basic Analytics and Event Tracking
Then we get some basic analytics, bounce, spam rate, contacts etc but here's where it gets really exciting. You can track events so there is the beginnings of a basic CRM here. The examples that they give is like users signed up or I was thinking because I'm building a Bubble super course at the moment around the CRM I've added in create task and these are things that you can add in through the Bubble API connector it would take you like 30 seconds a minute to set up because once you start tracking events you can then start running actions.
Setting Up Event-Triggered Actions
So if I dive in here so we could say like when the created task oh that you've got delivered and opened and the actual events too so yeah wow you can do a load set. So we can say when the created task event is triggered we can then send a certain template basically a certain flow of messages we can add delays we can say if we only want to run it once per contact.
